KAMALAASANA

 

Lakshmi, the consort of lord Vishnu, one of the forms of the Mother Goddess, is the goddess of fortune and wealth and.

She is associated with the festival of Deepawali as the one bestowing the blessings for the onset of New Year.

She is often depicted seated on a lotus, with two elephants on her sides. The lotus is a symbol of fertility and purity as it grows from the mud both in power and beauty.
